In May 2007 Public Zone launched SportEssex's flagship website for everyone playing, working and volunteering in sport in Essex. Central to the site is a postcode search (and map) of thousands of sporting opportunities across the county, including clubs, facilities, events, jobs, even walking and running routes. The site also provides a forum for coaches, clubs and other involved in sports delivery to exchange ideas and information.

The purpose of the site is two-fold: to encourage more people to play, work and volunteer in sport across the county, and to collect data to feed into the county's Key Performance Indicator targets.
